These photos show our RealTraps Stand (left, supporting a MiniTrap) and the Wall Stand (right, with an RFZ panel). The Wall Stand simply leans back against the wall, or into the corner for corner bass traps as shown in the next photo below.

Wall Stands are less intrusive visually than our regular stands, as you can see in this photo of a Corner MondoTrap. Their smaller footprint also accommodates a 2x2 foot MiniTrap or Tri-Corner trap (now discontinued) below it on the floor.

The base dimensions for RealTraps Stands are shown above. The round feet of a Wall Stand (right photo at top) extend only 9 inches, and they can be spread outward to intrude even less if needed.

RealTraps Stands offer an attractive way to mount any of our products for easy portability, and they're more stable than tripod base microphone stands as described in the How To section. RealTraps Stands and Wall Stands are shown in the photos at left.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Both RealTraps Stands and Wall Stands are now available in only one color, an attractive satin steel finish that blends well with all of our product colors:

Two models are available: One uses 3/4-inch pipes suitable for use with MiniTraps, MicroTraps, and RFZ Panels. This model weighs 8 pounds [3.6 kg]. The other is slightly sturdier using 1-inch pipes for use with MondoTraps, 6-inch thick Fat MondoTraps, and RealTraps Diffusers. These weigh 13 pounds [5.9 kg].  The 1-inch model can also be used with the lighter panels.

When mounted on RealTraps Stands the trap height is adjustable over a range of two feet [61 cm], so the top of a 2x4 foot MiniTrap or MicroTrap can be as high as 6'10" [208 cm] or as low as 5'6" [168 cm]. The top of a 4'9" MondoTrap can be as high as 6'11" [211 cm]. The upright poles are 6'6" high [168 cm].

The stand base is designed to align the trap perfectly into a corner, just touching the walls, or will space the trap four inches away when parallel to a wall. However, many walls have molding at the bottom, preventing the stand from getting tight into the corner. In that case simply spread the legs outward slightly until the back of the panel nearly touches the wall.

Wall Stands are less intrusive visually than our regular RealTraps Stands, and they also cost less. They may be used with all RealTraps products, but only when leaning against a wall or into a corner. They will not free-stand by themselves out in a room. However, for corner mounting MiniTraps or MondoTraps, Wall Stands are actually superior to our regular stands because they leave more room to place a 2 by 2 foot MiniTrap below.

Wall stands can mount MiniTraps, MicroTraps, or RFZ Panels either vertically or horizontally. However, horizontal mounting is not recommended for MondoTraps or Fat MondoTraps due to their weight. The angled legs of a Wall Stand stick out nine inches from the wall, but they can be spread outward to intrude even less if desired.

Note that Corner MondoTraps are meant for use with Wall Stands only, not our regular stands.

When a MiniTrap is mounted on a Wall Stand, the top of the trap can be as low as 5'9" [175 cm] or as high as 6'8" [203 cm]. The top of a MondoTrap ranges from as low as 6'5" [196 cm] to as high as 6'10" [208 cm].
